Fujitsu Introduces Halcyon Hi-SEER Wall-Mounted Systems
Fujitsu General America recently introduced its new RLS2H ductless systems. The new, extra-low ambient temperature heat pumps, available in 9,000, 12,000 and 15,000 BTU configurations, reach 27.2 SEER. By using a large heat exchanger and high-capacity compressor, the units can provide heating operation with outdoor temperatures as low
as -15 F.
Fujitsu’s energy saving program is standard on these new Halcyon systems and conserves energy even when the user isn’t paying attention. Motion sensors note when the room has been vacated. After 20 minutes, the set temperature is increased by 4 F when in cooling mode, and reduced by 8 F when heating. When the room is reoccupied, the ESP returns to the previous operating mode.
Other standard features include a wireless remote, a host of different operating modes, apple catechin and ion deodorizing filters, and low-ambient heating capability. The indoor units are up to 25 percent slimmer than competing units.
The RLS2H units are ideal for small or medium-size spaces. Residential applications, including sunrooms and additions, are made easier with these high-efficiency ductless systems. Commercially, their small size and quiet operation makes them ideal for small offices, providing individual temperature control.
