NCCER HVACR Curriculum Receives New Name and Design
The sixth edition of the National Center for Construction Education and Research’s Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration curriculum is now available and features a new design and name. Last updated in 2018, the title is now HVACR to reflect the coverage of refrigeration within several modules of the curriculum.
HVACR is one of the most popular of NCCER’s curricula and features some major design updates based on customer usage and market demand. These include enhanced digital components with videos — accessible by QR code and in the NCCERconnect platform — as well as a robust self-guided learning course on NCCERconnect.
The curriculum contains relevant on-the-job case studies, enhanced electrical safety content and updated technology and equipment. In addition, the curriculum also meets HVAC Excellence accreditation standards to prepare trainees to sit for HVAC Excellence certification tests.
