New Backward-Curved Fan Module Optimizes Airflow, Efficiency
Rosenberg USA has released its Ecofit PA plastic backward-curved fan modules, which create high ventilation efficiency with no increase in noise or vibrations. The design of the modules optimizes the airflow by minimizing losses. The new fans come with a choice of AC or EC motors, in 115V and 230V input.
The 192-mm EC models provide airflow of up to 506 CFM at free air. AC models move a maximum of 421 CFM. The new fan modules have a wide operating temperature range, from -4-140 F, making them suitable for many different environments.
The 192-mm modules are the first of a new product line. More sizes – including 220 and 225-mm – will be available soon.
Easy installation is built into Ecofit’s new backward curved modules. The design features standard mounting points, and cable connections can be adapted fit specific applications. At 4.3 pounds, the new fans are considerably lighter than comparable metal fan modules.
The new fans are also made with safety in mind. They are constructed from flame-retardant material and feature motor protection in case of a locked rotor. Fingerguards are available on the suction side.
