2023 ASPE Tech Symposium Continues Strong Tradition of Success
Hundreds of plumbing industry professionals gathered Sept. 28–Oct. 1 in Bellevue, Washington for the 2023 American Society of Plumbing Engineers Tech Symposium, a professional development event for plumbing engineers and designers. Continuing a strong tradition of success, this year’s event attracted more than 700 total attendees, placing it in the Top 5 of all ASPE Tech Symposiums since the biennial conference began.
The symposium kicked off with the Product Show, where more than 70 industry manufacturers and service providers displayed their latest innovations at the Hyatt Bellevue. While enjoying light food and beverages, attendees browsed the exhibits and engaged in technical discussions with the product engineers, discovering how to best specify and apply the latest plumbing products in their designs. From the feedback received, booth traffic was busy and sustained, offering the exhibitors valuable facetime with ASPE members.
After the Product Show concluded, the 2.5-day Technical Education Program began. Attendees crowded the session rooms to gain new skills and discuss the latest trends with expert speakers from all facets of the industry. The timely topics included waterborne pathogen control, 2024 code updates, water management compliance, heat pump design, water reuse strategies, and more.
Prior to the 2023 ASPE Tech Symposium, ASPE Young Professionals held its biennial Leadership Academy, where dozens of plumbing designers gathered to learn practical skills that promote healthy, authentic and respectful work relationships.
The 2024 ASPE Convention & Expo will be held on Oct. 18–23, and registration will open in the spring. For more information, visit expo.aspe.org.
