Deadline Announced to Submit Proposed Changes for 2027 National Standard Plumbing Code
In order to facilitate the development of an updated National Standard Plumbing Code — Illustrated, the IAPMO NSPC Committee requests proposed changes to the 2024 NSPC. All proposals are due by Feb. 28, 2025. Proposals accepted by the technical committee will appear in the 2027 NSPC.
The NSPC uses an annual review process and publishes the complete code every three years. For a copy of the code change form with instructions or more information on the NSPC, visit iapmo.org/nspc.
All proposed changes must be submitted in electronic form to nspc@iapmo.org. If a standard is referenced, a copy of that standard must accompany the proposed code change submitted to the committee. No proposals will be accepted after the 5 p.m. EST deadline Feb. 28.
IAPMO urges its members and other interested parties to get involved in the code development process. Designed to ensure the proper installation of plumbing systems, the NSPC provides local and state governments, code administrative bodies and the industry with a modern code to protect public health, safety and welfare.
