Marketair Introduces Wi-Fi-Based Ductless A/C System Float Switch

Marketair Inc. introduces the AC SpeedStick, the HVAC industry’s quickest to install float switch for safeguarding against property damage caused by condensate overflow in mini-split/ductless air handlers.

The AC SpeedStick WS-100 features (optional) Wi-Fi-based Internet interconnectivity. The float switch senses a condensate drain line blockage and shuts down the system, then (if Wi-Fi is integrated and available), sends a text or email notification to the HVAC service company’s cellphone and/or email dispatch for immediate attention. UL-listed and compliant with the International Mechanical Code, it is easy to install. The electronic water sensing probe is a fast push-fit into the evaporator coil’s secondary drain pan outlet. The ribbed, conically shaped probe’s soft rubber construction provides a tight, leak-proof fit. The probe’s universal color-coded wiring is preconnected to the compact 3-3/8 (L) x 2 (W) x 1-1/2 (D)-inches (85 x 51 x 38-mm) control module. The module fits inside most ductless air handlers with an integrated hanging clip and/or double-sided mounting tape but can also be installed on the cabinet exterior. The module includes communication, ground and power wiring for interrupting the current from the condenser.
