ASPE Reveals 2026 Convention & Expo Technical Education Program
During the 2026 ASPE Convention & Expo in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma this fall, industry experts will present dynamic technical education sessions designed to increase the skills and career opportunities of attendees. In addition, each session provides 0.125 CEUs for licensing and certification requirements. The convention and expo will be held Oct. 8–14.
The technical education sessions are geared toward professionals at all skill levels, and are presented in five tracks: healthcare, fire protection & more, water quality, system design and codes & standards. Highlights of the program include:
Back by popular demand is the fourth edition of “Bringing Medical Gas System Design into the 21st Century,” an audience-driven roundtable with Mark Allen, Mathis Carlson and Jonathan Willard, LEED AP, who will explore developments in medical gases.
“Legionella Mitigation Strategies for a Hospital,” presented by Jeremy Williams, P.E., ASSE 6060, will review a real-world case study that demonstrates how embedding water safety risk mitigation into early design and construction improves system resilience, reduces contamination risk and establishes a sustainable foundation for long-term waterborne pathogen control.
During “Intelligent Water Pressure Boosting,” frequent ASPE speaker Brian Soderholm will explain how intelligent booster systems are transforming the delivery of reliable water pressure in modern commercial and healthcare facilities, highlighting next-generation features such as external sensor integration, automated equipment control and emergency backup capabilities.
Jonathan Farr takes a deep dive into the engineering design and real-world implementation of on-site graywater, black water and rainwater reuse systems in “Closing the Loop: An Engineer’s Guide to Onsite Water Reuse System Design and Compliance.”
Other compelling sessions will detail design requirements for a variety of plumbing systems and components including laboratory gases, heat pump water heaters, flow-through expansion tanks, reverse osmosis, master mixing valves, wastewater pumps and more.
