Fujitsu unveils mini-split heat pump line

Fujitsu General America, Inc. has introduced a new, Halcyon split-system heat pump line with equipment that achieves up to 27.2 SEER, making them the most energy efficient mini-splits available, and more than twice the DOE’s minimum efficiency standard of 13 SEER.

The heat pump’s heating mode is operational with outdoor ambient temperatures down to -5 F producing 75percent or more of the system’s rated capacity. The system produces 100 percent of heating capacity down to 20 F. For example, the 15RLS2 can produce up to 18,000 BTUs at 20 F and produce 16,000 BTUs even when the outdoor ambient is -5 F.
