Mary Kimlinger Named Chairperson of Plastics Piping Systems Components Industry Forum
Uponor North America announced that Mary Kimlinger, codes and standards manager, has been named chairperson of the Plastics Piping Systems Components Industry Forum. In her role, Kimlinger will manage the IF business and chair all meetings.
IF provides advice and guidance to the National Sanitation Foundation in the development, implementation and operation of its plumbing products and related materials certification program. The responsibilities of the IF include reviewing and providing comments on policies relating to the operation of the NSF certification program, reviewing draft NSF standards and establishing subcommittees with assigned activities. This includes matters related to safeguarding impartiality in NSF’s certification programs.

In addition to her role as chairperson of the IF, Kimlinger is also a professional member of ASTM International, the International Code Council, the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials and the American Water Works Association . She is the secretary of the ASTM F17 subcommittee on Olefins and the vice chair of the Plastic Pipe and Fittings Association Technical Committee.
Kimlinger is one of several Uponor employees who hold leadership positions in industry associations.
Ingrid Mattsson, director, Brand Management, is vice chair of the Radiant Professionals Alliance board and a founding board member of the Green Builder Coalition.
Dale Stroud, senior director, Marketing/Offerings, serves on the board of directors, is a member of the executive committee and is treasurer of the PPFA. He is also the chairman of the PPFA Sustainable Piping System Committee and vice chairman of the PPFA Marketing Committee.
Devin Abellon, business development manager, Engineering Services, is the regional vice chair for ASHRAE Region X and also serves as chair for the Chapter Training Subcommittee. He is also the programs subcommittee chair for ASHRAE TC-6.5 (Radiant Heating and Cooling Technical Committee) and is a member of the ASHRAE High Performance Building Conference steering committee.
Him Ly, senior design engineer, Technical Services, is vice chair of ASHRAE TC-6.5.
Aaron Stotko, associate product manager, Heating and Cooling, is co-chair for the ASHRAE Chapter VI (Minnesota) Chapter Technology Transfer Committee , as well as a member of ASHRAE TC-6.5, ASHRAE SPC-152 (Method of Test for Hydronic Distribution Efficiency) and a voting member of ASHRAE SSPC 90.2 (Residential Energy Efficiency Standard).
Kate Olinger, associate product manager, Plumbing, is a member of the Plastics Pipe Institute Advisory Council Steering Committee.
Eric Skare, product manager, Fire Safety, is a member of the National Fire Sprinkler Association Residential Committee, the UL Standards Technical Panel (STP) 1821 for Thermoplastic Sprinkler Pipe and Fittings for Fire Protection Service, a principal member of the National Fire Protection Association Technical Committee on Residential Sprinkler Systems and chair of the PPFA Fire Sprinkler Product Line Committee.
