EcoWater Systems Acquires VRTX Technology and Operations, Expands Green Product Portfolio
ST. PAUL, Minn. — EcoWater Systems announced the expansion of its commercial business product line through the acquisition of the Controlled Hydrodynamic Cavitation technology and operations from VRTX Technologies of Schertz, Texas.
CHC is a proven environmentally friendly water treatment technology used in HVAC, process cooling and refrigeration systems to effectively control scale, biological growth and corrosion without the use of chemicals. Adding CHC technology to a cooling tower saves energy, reduces water consumption and maintenance costs, and minimizes or eliminates sewer discharge volume.
According to Chris Wilker, president of EcoWater Systems, Professional Products, “CHC technology fits perfectly with our ‘Clean Water.Green Future.’ brand promise at EcoWater. We can now offer water treatment professionals patented, proven, chemical free technology systems for cooling towers and other water applications. In the coming months, we plan to rapidly expand sales and service for this progressive technology through our network of EcoWater dealers in North America, who are anxious to add yet another exclusive technology to their EcoWater product line.”
Production of CHC technology systems will continue to take place in Schertz, Texas, and plans are underway to transition the systems to the EcoWater brand. For more information, visit www.ecowaterchc.com.
