Daikin Releases New ComfortNet Thermostats, Mobile App for Inverter Tech Systems

HOUSTON, Texas — In keeping with the trend for home comfort systems that can be controlled from anywhere an Internet connection is available, Daikin has introduced its next generation ComfortNet CTK04 communicating thermostat. The CTK04 is compatible with select Daikin unitary products, including the latest high-efficiency, inverter-controlled variable speed technology air conditioners and heat pumps.

“Systems like the Daikin DX/V20VC inverter system represent one of the most advanced energy-efficient indoor comfort systems we manufacture. When this system is paired with a communicating thermostat, such as the ComfortNet CTK04, it makes the most of the inverter system technology, and offers the consumer an elegant user experience,” said Jim Fisher, cooling and controls product manager at Daikin. The new CTK04 is a powerful automatic thermostat with a crisp color display that stresses ease-of-use, while still allowing access to all the information and simple programming features a homeowner could likely want.

“Many older smart or programmable thermostat designs suffered from information overload, they were difficult to read and confusing to most homeowners. The CTK04 presents an ideal balance between just the essential information on its standard display, and the ability to go deep for additional system information. The Smart Scheduling feature helps homeowners fully program the communicating thermostat in just a few seconds. And the available mobile app provides the remote convenience that today’s consumers are looking for,” said Fisher.

As with all Internet-enabled devices, a wireless interface and access to the homeowners’ Internet service is required. For more information, visit www.daikincomfort.com.
