UL, a global safety science company, has recently become the latest allied member of Plumbing Manufacturers International. With facilities accredited around the world, UL evaluates, tests and certifies products for many industries, including plumbing manufacturing.
When plumbing manufacturers earn the UL plumbing mark for their products, it verifies compliance with applicable U.S.- and Canadian-recognized health-effects and performance-testing standards in the International Plumbing Code and the Uniform Plumbing Code. UL also certifies WaterSense plumbing products.
As an allied member, UL will get the chance to support PMI’s advocacy efforts for plumbing product performance and innovation in water efficiency and savings, sustainability, public health and safety, consumer satisfaction and a clean environment.
