SMACNA Names 2025 National Contractor of the Year

The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association named B.J. Giri, managing principal at Holaday-Parks in Seattle/Tukwila, Washington, as the recipient of its 2025 National Contractor of the Year Award. The honor recognizes a standout contractor whose dedication, innovation and leadership have made a meaningful impact on the industry. Giri received the award during SMACNA’s recent annual business meeting.

According to his nomination, Giri’s professional achievements, leadership and personal integrity are exceptional on every level. With more than 35 years in the mechanical contracting industry, he has demonstrated a commitment to advancing the trade and exemplifies the highest standard of a SMACNA contractor through his innovative, collaborative and principled approach.

Over three decades, Giri rose through the ranks at Holaday-Parks, where he now leads more than 400 employees at the company’s Seattle/Tukwila location. Among his many accomplishments, he has led the company’s recent expansions into Virginia and Ohio and established a service department, which is a cornerstone of the company’s continued success.

Giri’s leadership is further demonstrated through his expertise in labor relations, dedication to education initiatives that train and mentor the next generation, and his service on numerous committees both in the boardroom and beyond.
