Johnson Controls Introduces Large Capacity Centrifugal Chiller

Johnson Controls has launched the YORK YK-CP Centrifugal Chiller designed to deliver high-efficiency performance, meet stringent sustainability standards and aid in the decarbonization of large commercial buildings. Available in 2,000 to 3,000 tons, it is optimized specifically for the use of the ultra-low GWP refrigerant R-1234ze(E) without requiring a larger chiller footprint or sacrificing on efficiency.

The chiller can be equipped with an optional variable-speed drive for optimal utilization at both full and part loads, as well as under design and off-design conditions at varying ambient temperatures, resulting in operation up to 30% more energy-efficient than conventional chillers. In addition, the YK-CP features the proven OptiView Control Panel with updated software, making it easier than ever to manage chiller operations.
