Plastic Pipe Associations Launch New Educational Campaign
Three plastics pipe trade associations have launched an educational campaign called “The Truth about Plastic Pipe.” The initiative addresses the myths and misinformation that have long surrounded plastic pipe, while highlighting the facts that demonstrate its sustainability, durability and performance.
The associations behind the campaign are Plastics Pipe Institute, Plastic Pipe and Fittings Association and Uni-Bell: PVC Pipe Association. The campaign spotlights:
- Sustainability & recycling: The industry is a leader in recycling, turning millions of pounds of material into high-performance pipe products.
- Durability & resilience: Plastic pipe resists corrosion and chemical damage, ensuring decades of service, even in the most demanding applications.
- Efficiency & value: Lightweight and easy to install, plastic pipe lowers project costs, reduces disruptions and speeds up timelines.
- Innovation & leadership: PPI, PPFA and PVCPA continue to advance technology that delivers safer, smarter and more environmentally responsible infrastructure solutions.
The campaign is rolling out through digital media, industry publications and conferences, arming municipalities, engineers, contractors and decision-makers with the facts needed to confidently choose plastic pipe. For more information, visit plasticpipetruth.org.
