Heatcraft Refrigeration Products Expands CO2 Offering

Heatcraft Refrigeration Products, a manufacturer of commercial refrigeration equipment and systems as part of Lennox International, introduced a new CO2 90bar low-profile unit cooler. The equipment expands the company’s CO2 lineup, helping contractors serve more customers and applications.

CO2 is a natural refrigerant with a global warming potential of 1 that meets current regulations and is unlikely to face future phaseouts. Heatcraft’s new CO2 solution extends these benefits to more applications while reducing risk and retrofit costs.

The 90bar CO2 low-profile unit cooler is designed for walk-in food retail and restaurant applications and will be available later this year. Compared with 45bar CO2 evaporators, it reduces potential refrigerant venting, maintains charge more effectively and enables faster restarts after outages or maintenance, minimizing downtime and backup power needs.
