Moen Celebrates Grand Opening of Las Vegas Distribution Center
Moen celebrated the grand opening of its brand-new distribution center in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Known as the Prologis Speedway North Distribution Center 1, the nearly 700,000-square-foot facility has been designed to allow the company to increase inventory on the West Coast, improving lead times and reducing transportation costs.
Built-in partnership with the building owner, Prologis, the construction was led by Layton Construction Company and began in February 2023. With new warehouse management systems and automated elements, customers can expect improved efficiency and enhanced overall service to meet their ever-evolving needs.
The building will serve as a hub for Moen’s Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff – a device which offers a digitally driven and proactive approach to leak detection. An array of other Moen products will be distributed from the facility, as well.
The company previously operated a distribution center in North Las Vegas. To support the operations at this larger center, approximately 10% more workers were hired as compared to the previous facility in North Las Vegas.
Sustainability also will be top of mind at the center. As part of the company’s robust recycling program, the facility will feature new innovations, such as an automated machine that will optimize box sizes to minimize cardboard usage and eliminate the need for plastic air pillows. Solar energy also will be integrated during 2025 as another means to help reduce the facility’s environmental footprint.
