Rinnai Donates Tankless Water Heater to Church Damaged by Floods
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. — In late 2013, devastating floods left the Gateway Baptist Church, located in Loveland, Colo., under 2 feet of water and covered in mud. To help, Rinnai America Corporation donated an Ultra Series Condensing Tankless Water Heater and, with assistance from Chambers Plumbing and Heating, the companies assisted in salvaging the church by restoring its hot-water system.
“We wouldn’t be where we are today without the assistance of numerous community members and organizations, including Rinnai,” said Jim Rice, pastor at Gateway Baptist Church. “To watch the community band together and pull off an amazing transformation in such a short time was refreshing. I can’t say enough about the outpouring of support we received. We’re thankful to Rinnai for the company’s generous gift.”
Gateway Baptist Church, which sustained nearly $90,000 in damage, reopened its doors just prior to Thanksgiving—nine short weeks after the flood occurred.
“We were honored to help Pastor James Rice and the Gateway Baptist Church community reclaim their church,” said Takashi Sonoda, president of Rinnai America Corporation. “The condensing tankless water heater can help reduce the church’s monthly energy bill and offers members an endless supply of hot water to meet their needs.”
