CCG Energy Solutions Receives AEE Project of the Year Award
The Association of Energy Engineers, a nonprofit professional association of over 17,000 members, recently presented awards at the 38th World Energy Engineering Congress in Orlando, Florida, to individuals and organizations making valuable contributions to the energy industry in designated regions. CCG Energy Solutions, received the AEE Project of the Year Award for Region III, which consists of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio and Wisconsin, for an outstanding energy project completed at Lake Local Schools in Uniontown, Ohio.
Lake Local Schools partnered with CCG Energy Solutions of Richfield, Ohio in 2013 to perform lighting, building automation, HVAC and infrastructure upgrades that resulted in a 59 percent energy reduction in the first year after project completion. The project included Lake High School complex (consisting of the high school and a community center built in 2000 which houses the school administration, a YMCA center and medical center), Lake Middle School, Uniontown Elementary School, athletic complex and bus garage. The total square footage included in this project was 688,992.
The AEE award is the second national award received by CCG in recognition of the success at Lake Local. In the 2014 EPA’s Battle of the Buildings the Lake High School Complex placed third out of 3,309 facilities after just three months of completion.
