ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI Series 6000-2024 Now Available
ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI Series 6000-2024, the Professional Qualifications Standard for Medical Gas Systems Personnel, has been designated as an American National Standard by the American National Standards Institute and is now available for purchase. This new edition of the ASSE Series 6000 builds on the 2021 version and includes key updates.
The 2024 edition continues to align with the medical gas-related requirements of NFPA 99-2024, Health Care Facilities Code, while incorporating important revisions and additions to reflect ongoing advancements in the industry. The updated standard addresses the minimum qualifications for professionals working with medical gas systems, including installers, inspectors, verifiers, maintenance personnel, instructors, designers and now design instructors.
Certification to these standards may be adopted as requirements by local authorities having jurisdiction, healthcare facilities or employers, further establishing the importance of professional qualifications in ensuring the safety and reliability of medical gas systems.
