Carrier Expands 19XR, XRV Line to Include Two-Stage Compression Technology

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Carrier has expanded its Evergreen 19XR, XRV line of centrifugal chillers to include two-stage compression technology, providing building owners the choice of one or two stages to best tailor the solution to each unique site. Carrier is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

The Evergreen 19XR, XRV centrifugal product line offers both single- and two-stage compression options from 800 to 1,600 tons. This engineered product is designed for flexibility; it can be configured to meet individual building and system design needs and can achieve Integrated Part Load Values as low as 0.31 kW/ton, exceeding ASHRAE 90.1 efficiency standards by as much as 23 percent.
