ASPE’s MedGas Workshop Returns to Chicago in November 2026

On Nov. 12-15, ASPE’s MedGas Workshop will be held in Rosemont, Illinois, which is conveniently located just a short ride from Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, with several major hotels within walking distance. The workshop will be taught by medical gas expert Mathis Carlson.

ASPE’s MedGas Workshop is based on the parameters outlined in ASSE 6060, the professional qualification standard that sets forth the training requirements for designers who wish to earn the ASSE 6060 certification. NFPA 99-2024 requires the ASSE 6060 certification for medical gas system designs, so obtaining certification now ensures readiness when the jurisdiction adopts this edition of the code.

The workshop also provides the skills and knowledge needed for engineers who want to branch into medical gas system design.

By attending this in-person experience, attendees will receive:

  • 32 hours of ASSE 6060 training
  • Personal interaction with our expert instructor, Mathis Carlson
  • ASSE 6060 practice exam
  • Copy of NFPA 99-2024: Health Care Facilities Code
  • Quizzes to test knowledge retention
  • Lunch, drinks, and snacks each day
  • 1.2 ASPE CEUs
  • Certificate of completion for third-party ASSE 6060 exam providers

Register to attend on ASPE Education.
