APG Opens Largest Training Facility in D.C. and Baltimore Metro for Ductless Heating, Cooling Systems

LAUREL, Md. — Advanced Products Group announces its recently completed, state-of-the-art training facility, as well as an expanded offering of cooling and heating solutions from Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating.

The training facility, which spans nearly 2,000 square feet, is adjacent to the APG headquarters in Laurel, Md. At the training center, APG factory-certified support professionals effectively recreate technical problems occurring in the field and provide contractors with timely, accurate and convenient solutions.

5a94931f03e1bf269d5d4d04_320x301APG was the first distributor to offer Mitsubishi Electric CITY MULTI VRF zoning systems in the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia region. APG recently expanded its Mitsubishi Electric product offering to include the Hyper-Heating R2-Series VRF zoning system, which provides simultaneous cooling and heating, even in subzero temperatures. Training offered at the new APG facility is designed specifically to provide the in-depth knowledge and skills required to install and service Mitsubishi Electric systems.

901066aa5aeb8c3b39d2f132_286x303The monthly, manufacturer-certified training programs are led by local Aireco service staff, who instruct attendees on how to design, apply, install and troubleshoot Mitsubishi Electric systems. In addition to extensive discussions of the technology, participants receive unparalleled hands-on experience through dynamic displays and fully functional systems installed for analysis.

In 2013, APG successfully trained more than 400 technicians at the new facility and, throughout 2014, another 58 educational training courses will be available for HVAC professionals in a wide range of system areas such as heat pumps and ductless zoning systems.
