Lennox Introduces Industry’s First California Energy Code Title 24-Compliant Products

DALLAS, Texas — The industry’s first Title 24-compliant products are now available from Lennox and include the 3- to 50-ton Energence, 3- to 24-ton Strategos, 2- to 25-ton Landmark and 3- to 5-ton Raider commercial rooftop units, as well as the 6- to 20-ton T-Class commercial split systems. These systems are specifically designed to meet the latest California Energy Code’s Title 24 requirements which go into effect on July 1.

Lennox’ Title 24-compliant products provide Californians with solutions that feature industry leading efficiency levels of up to 18 SEER, 14.3 EER and 21.5 IEER. In addition, these systems are equipped, from the factory, with high-performance air economizers with built-in economizer fault detection and diagnostics. Lennox’ Title 24-compliant solutions are controlled by smart thermostats that allow for integration into demand response programs to maximize energy savings.

“We value the trust that our customers place in us as a business partner and their needs are always our top priority,” said Cindy Sparrow, vice president of product development and marketing, Lennox Commercial.  “Lennox’ products were the first to be certified by the California Energy Commission as Title 24 compliant, and they are designed to provide our customers with peace of mind that they are meeting the latest Title 24 and ASHRAE 90.1-2010 standards.”

One of the Lennox Title 24-compliant products is the new Energence ultra-high-efficiency rooftop unit. These ultra-high-efficiency rooftop units are the most efficient, lightest and quietest rooftop units in their class. The Energence ultra-high-efficiency rooftop unit features an industry-leading 21.5 IEER rating that exceeds ASHRAE 90.1-2010 minimum standards by more than 92 percent.
